Dilworth Plaza Ice Skating Engagement Photos

Okay I need to begin here by saying that Meghan and Brandon are awesome. Meghan told me that she wanted to do something truly fun and different for their engagement session, and when I suggested ice skating she was all UM YES LET’S DO THAT. And then I was all HECK YES WE ARE ICE SKATING! Or at least that’s what it sounded like in my brain… anyway! We began our shoot at the beautifully redone Dilworth Plaza. After grabbing some shots around our beautiful and iconic City Hall, it was time for skating! Meghan and Brandon are pretty darn good on the ice – I was really impressed! I think the person who stole the show, though, was my dear husband and photo partner, Matt. He has a history of ice hockey playing, so ice skating with two cameras? Sure. Skating backwards while keeping steady hands? No problem! Meghan, Brandon – thank you!!! We had such a blast running around with you two. I absolutely loved that you were totally game to get out there and do something different – that’s a really awesome trait to have! Absolutely can’t WAIT to shoot the wedding.. we’ll see if we can get up to any more fun photo mischief! ;)   xoxo Laurie
